Chief Compliance Officer for Nickel Belgium

The position is based in Brussels. The Chief Compliance Officer and AMCO of Nickel Belgium will be directly reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer of Nickel.

The Chief Compliance Officer of Nickel Belgium is primarily responsible for:

• Provide reasonable assurance to Nickel Chief Compliance Officer, Nickel Belgium management and regulators that adequate policies, procedures, and efficient compliance internal control measures are in place consistent with Nickels Compliance requirements, characteristics, compliance risks, and in line with applicable laws and regulations;
• Establish standards and implement procedures to ensure that the compliance frameworks throughout the branch are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance;
• Oversee compliance within Nickel Belgium and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, Nickel policies and procedures.
Endorse the role of MLCO (Money Laundering Compliance officer) as defined in Belgium regulation.

Your main activities will be:

• Expert activities
  • Manage Nickel Belgium relationship with local regulator;
  • Adapt Nickel Compliance policies, procedures and control plans to Nickel Belgium specificities & local regulatory requirements;
  • Define the annual compliance work plan that reflects the branchs characteristics & growth;
  • Manage, review the analysis of suspicious activity alerts and decide on the transmission of suspicious activity reports to competent authorities;
  • Take decisions as per delegation received on the scope of responsibilities and ensure documentation and tracking of decisions;
  • Contribute to Compliance Risk Assessment Process/ EWRA process, aggregate and report on CPL risks for Nickel Belgium;
  • Provide recommendations for remediation of identified deficiencies, and collaborate with the business to follow up on timely remediation;
  • Improve the Compliance permanent control process as necessary;
  • Providing guidance, advice, and training on compliance topics for Nickel Belgiums staff and stakeholders;
  • Preparing and presenting clear and concise compliance reports to the Nickel CPL and Nickel Belgium management.
• Managerial scope
  • Define appropriate governance and organisation within Nickel Belgique taking into account Nickel specificities and local regulations;
  • Plan, organise, and execute day-to-day operational compliance activities and manage the compliance analyst;
  • Roll-out objectives and validate annual priorities with input from Nickel Compliance;
  • Represent Compliance Function in Nickel y management committee;
  • Contribute to Nickel Compliance reporting and Committee.
