Product strategy planning team plays a pivotal role in defining the roadmap for Toyota in Europe. The team is responsible for defining mid- and long-term product strategy and developing concept planning of new products.

Concept planning represents the first phase in product planning where the new product idea is defined, agreed and approved. Concept planning team deeply investigate the future trends in the market, the competitors, and the target customer profile to propose a product concept which is then verified via the customer research.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop a new car concept (target customer, position in the market, body type, business case, USP, etc.) towards the official management approval and handover to the product planning team
  • Research current/future automotive market and competitors trends
  • Study and analyse automotive market data (sales figures, prices, product specifications, market trends across segment, technology, powertrain etc.) as well as competitor strategies and future customer trends
  • Organise customer research (i.e. focus group)
  • Study future model volume potential, price positioning & profit assumptions (business case)
  • Interact with Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan & relevant Research & Development members in order to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and results
  • Participate in the annual mid-term product planning process
Your Profile:
  • You are fluent in English (TMEs business language)
  • You have 2+ years experience in product planning, market forecasting, marketing, customer research
  • You have interest in automotive business (latest trends, companies, models, technologies, etc.)
  • You are experienced in data crunching, data interpretation and analysis
  • You are creative, curious person with start-up mindset
  • You have good negotiation skills in multi-cultural environment
  • You are result driven and able to break down complex tasks into manageable portions
  • You have excellent communication, visualisation and presentation skills
  • You are an expert in PowerPoint and Excel
