Accounting Specialist- Accounts Payables

The role

Reporting to the Accounting Manager in our Finance department, you will be focusing on Accounts Payables for Belgium as Accounting Specialist.

Key activities/responsibilities you will be in charge of:

• Process incoming vendor invoices, manual booking and supervision of automatized invoicing tasks
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents in the accounting system
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and assist with internal and external audits
• Track and process employee expense reports
• Schedule and execute vendor payments while optimizing cash flow
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Generate regular AP aging reports and payment forecasts
• Prepare month-end closing reports related to accounts payable
• Calculate the commissions due to our partners

The key capabilities for this role:

• You hold a Bachelor/Masters degree in the Economic field, or equivalent by experience
• You have gained 2-3 years of experience in the field of Accounts Payables
• You are proficient in common ERP systems (Oracle will be considered a plus)
• You confidently master Excel
• You must be fluent in English plus either Dutch or French, with a good working knowledge of the other language.
• IFRS/IAS knowledge is an advantage
• You pay attention to details

• You have advanced analytical skills and deliver high quality work
• You demonstrate a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills
• You are eager to learn and dare to take initiative to take the department to a higher level
• You are a team player and are willing to share experience and best practices
• You have a sound knowledge of Belgian finance regulation
