Satellite Industries is a family-owned global leader in portable sanitation and mobile solutions. Following recent strategic acquisitions, the Bedrijf has experienced rapid expansion in Europe. It now operates as an agile organization of around 220 employees. Driven by major investments, its main production plant in Polen has scaled exponentially to 80 team members, supported by 5 regional logistics hubs across Europe of each 5 to 15 people. To fully capitalize on this momentum of expansion and guide the business through its Volgende phase of scalable growth, Satellite Industries is looking for a Chief Operations Officer Europe.
Job description As Chief Operating Officer, you act as the trusted and accountable right-hand partner to the Managing Director and as a key member of the executive leadership team. You drive operational excellence across European production, logistics, R&D, and purchasing.
- You lead end-to-end operations across the European manufacturing and warehouse sites, with (initially) a strong presence at the rapidly expanding manufacturing site in Polen, supported by the local Factory Manager.
- You own operational KPI’s, including productivity, OEE, on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and quality performance.
- You drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, optimizing the assembly activities, while ensuring rigorous health, safety, and quality standards across all markets.
- You actively identify supply chain optimization opportunities, overseeing the European supplier base, logistics networks and transitioning inventory and resource management from a seasonal, on-demand model to structured standardization and planning.
- You ensure compliance with European regulations, including CE marking and Land-specific environmental requirements, health and safety or other operational standards.
- You work closely with diverse, remote teams across production, logistics, purchasing, and R&D fostering a culture of accountability, ownership and verticality.
- You lead, develop and engage the teams across diverse cultures and maturity levels.
Profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related, and have min 10 years of proven successful experience in industrial manufacturing.
- You have a robust managerial background and bring a deep understanding of European cross-border supply chain dynamics and logistics complexities.
- You are accustomed to operating in turnaround environments, performance improvement, or scaling operations, bringing the agility to handle rapid change alongside the structured experience needed to scale.
- You combine a strong strategic vision with a highly pragmatic, proactive, and "floor-Eerste" mentality, demonstrating a willingness to step directly onto the factory floor and solve problems.
- You have proven experience managing multi-site operations across Europe and translating Bedrijf strategy into a clear European operational roadmap and lead the transformation initiatives.
- You are comfortable leading multi-cultural teams and empowering team members to take full ownership while maintaining transparent, trust-based communication.
- You communicate convincingly as a challenging sounding board to executive leadership, demonstrating high resilience and a solution-oriented mindset.
