Within our IT Project Delivery Office (IPDO), we are looking for an IT Project Delivery Manager, to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of methods, practices, tools, and governance within the IT Applications department. This role ensures the delivery of business and IT-for-IT projects and business-as-usual activities, driving overall project maturity and integrating structured work efforts to align with strategic objectives.The IT Project Delivery Manager will foster a learning culture through coaching and mentorship, enabling training and continuous improvement across the organization. Additionally, this role will oversee a dedicated team focusing on methodology definition, supervision, and governance execution.The team consists of 5 colleagues and external consultants who are waiting for you!
Your ResponsibilitiesStrategy and Organizational Development - Establish and align the mission and vision of the IPDO to promote structured project delivery.
- Define IPDO goals and operating models, formalizing them into a charter or mission statement.
- Lead team structuring, recruitment, and role development to meet strategic objectives.
Methodology and Governance - Define and implement project delivery processes, methods, tools, and standards to support IT teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure project governance frameworks guarantee project alignment with IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and business objectives.
- Oversee execution of agreed-upon methodologies, ensuring consistency and governance compliance.
Coaching and Engagement - Provide ongoing mentorship to IPDO and IT application managers, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
- Cultivate relationships with senior leadership as a trusted advisor.
- Lead communities of practice (CoP) to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices in project delivery.
Continuous Improvement and Performance Management - Identify and implement opportunities to enhance project delivery maturity.
- Evolve and integrate waterfall, iterative, and/or agile methodologies into a cohesive strategy tailored to business needs.
- Regularly assess and refine methodologies based on organizational feedback and emerging trends.
- Evaluate project delivery performance using key metrics, including adherence to standards, predictability, and resource utilization.
- Proactively identify and address project delivery challenges, ensuring timely escalations when necessary.
Team Leadership and Management - Lead a cross-functional team, including solution architects, analysts, testers, IT project managers, and release coordinator.
- Set objectives, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.
- Cultivate a dynamic, motivated, and knowledgeable team to ensure long-term service excellence.
Your profile - Higher education diploma in IT, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project delivery, with extensive exposure to IT methodologies and technologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise and solution architecture.
- Expertise in IT standard methods and practices (COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF).
- Proven experience in leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Fluent in French or Dutch, with proficiency in the other national language and English.
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks, manage teams, and focus on results.
- Solutions-oriented mindset, adaptable to challenges with resilience and innovation.
