Wat ga je doenAsVP Legal, Ethics and Compliance Belgium, you lead the legal departement and manage legal liabilities, risks, compliance and transformations for BELUX as well as ensure legal support, guidance and compliance of Delhaize Belgium in order to enhance and protect the interest and image of Ahold Delhaize. You are a member of the executive committee of DLL.

• Strategy: You develop the legal strategy, translate it into an operational year plan and ensure realization for BELUX, as well as provide input for the legal strategy of Ahold Delhaize, in order to give direction to the legal departements of BELUX and realize the defined objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
• Department Management: You plan, organize and manage the legal departement for BELUX in terms of staffing as well as processes (both qualitatively and quantitatively), in order to have an efficient and effective organizational structure and working climate.
• Budget: You set up and manage the budget for the departments “Legal, Ethics & Compliance” and “Transactional Project Management” in Belgium, in order to ensure a growth-proof, stable, dynamic & cost-efficient legal department.
• Ethics & Compliance: You develop Ethics & Compliance strategy, related operational plans and execution in BELUX, and provide input for the compliance strategy of Ahold Delhaize, to give direction to the legal departements of BELUX and realize the defined objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
• People Management: You attract, motivate, manage, evaluate and develop local leaders for BELUX, in order to create an environment where all employees are empowered and engaged and to ensure optimal quantitative and qualitative staffing.
• Advice: You provide advice (proactively and reactively) to the EXCOM of Delhaize Belgium and to the European Management, with regard to legal issues, in order to facilitate grounded decision making.
• Risk Management: You proactively anticipate, analyze, assess and report risks and/or threats related legal aspects as well as their potential impact on the organization and ensure relevant preventive measures are implemented, in order to ensure business continuity and protect Delhaize Belgium’s activities and interests.
• Transactional Project management: You oversee complex projects with respect to transactions and develop projectplan and deliverables, in order to ensure the realization of projects according to agreed objectives and guarantee the necessary quality.
• Knowledge Management: You keep track of relevant developments in regulations and legal aspects, exchange knowledge with colleagues and contribute to knowledge transfer within the organization, in order to be informed on trends and developments and be able to put these into practice.
