IT Business Analyst Job Overview Join a global low-carbon energy leader's Supply & Energy Management unit to develop and optimize systems for managing and trading renewable energy assets, working in an agile, cross-functional team to support the energy transition." Key Responsibilities Identify and analyze business requirements for the management and trading of wind and solar energy assets, including grid integration and market participation. Draft detailed functional requirements for asset management, contract (PPA) and trading systems supporting renewable energy. Translate business requests into clear objectives, explaining purposes without prescribing technical solutions. Design and write test cases covering documented functional requirements to ensure correct implementation and business satisfaction. Develop functional documentation for delivered systems, from user guides to end-to-end product and process overviews. Provide level-2 support for applications maintained by the team. Skills and Competences Knowledge of power markets Knowledge of ancillary service markets Expertise in renewable energy asset management and trading Writing test cases for integrated environments Functional analysis and specification Python scripting SQL scripting Agile methodology practices Analytical and synthesis skills Systems thinking Problem-solving Clear written and verbal communication Adaptability in multicultural, fast-paced settings Teamwork and collaborative spirit Creativity and initiative Autonomy and deadline management Level-2 application support Qualifications At least 10 years of experience in functional analysis, specification and documentation At least 10 years of experience in power or ancillary markets At least 9 years of experience writing test cases and performing tests in coupled environments At least 8 years of experience in agile methodologies At least 5 years of experience in level-2 application support At least 8 years of experience in clear and effective communication At least 8 years of systems thinking experience
